The IELTS General Training test is designed for people who wish to live and work abroad in an English-speaking country. It assesses everyday English language skills needed in social and workplace environments.
The test consists of four parts:
- Listening
- Reading
- Writing
- Speaking
The Speaking and Listening tests are the same in both the Academic and the General Training tests, but the Reading and Writing tests are different.
You may need the IELTS General Training test for entry into secondary school, a college or education training centre, or to migrate to an English-speaking country.
